Geraldine DiFederico McMahon died in her home surrounded by her loved ones on March 12, 2017 in Boca Raton, FL at the age of 63.
Gerry is survived by her brother Rocco DiFederico and his wife Young Sook DiFederico, of Demarest, NJ. Her niece Kimberly DiFederico and her husband Steven Britton and their son, Gerry’s Godson, Aidan DiFederico.
Gerry was born on December 23, 1953 in New York, New York to Gaetanno DiFederico and Pauline Cirrincione DiFederico Caluri. Her father passed away when she was just 18months old. Her mother remarried when she was 10 years old and she was raised and loved by Frank Caluri whom she considered to be her dad.
Gerry graduated from Albertus Magnum college in 1976 with a degree in business.
Gerry was accomplished at everything and often a mentor to many at the companies she worked at, most recently IBM. She was a generous individual who loved animals, especially Golden Retrievers and who was passionate about rescuing and finding new homes for as many of them as possible.
A memorial visitation is scheduled for 7-9pm on March 24, 2017 at Barrett Funeral Home in Tenafly, NJ. The memorial mass will be held at Mt Carmel R.C. Church Tenafly on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 10am with the burial following at Garden of Memories in Township of Washington with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gerry’s life.
